“True collaboration drives consistent opportunity.” This was the core message from our Managing Director Gavin Hamblett at what was a landmark – 10th supply chain conference for us. With the overall theme of ‘Secure Alliances,’ the event saw over 80 of Prater’s key clients and partners gathered together in the interests of collaborative working.
The aim of Prater’s annual supply chain conference is to share company information, project updates, strategies for the year ahead and crucially – to discuss how the supply chain partners can improve and succeed together.
This year, the senior board was joined by Richard Howell from Costain and Shaun McCarthy OBE, from the Offsite School, who both took part in an interesting and lively debate about how the UK should best approach off site construction and adaptable industrialisation.
Gavin Hamblett concluded: “Our latest conference really highlighted the issues facing all our businesses: how best to integrate BIM and digital engineering processes, the development of off site fabrication, the importance of quality from a behavioural perspective and the need to embrace change and adapt to market drivers.
We are incredibly proud of our strong and secure supply chain relationships. The objective for us is that we all work as one team and our supply chain partners absolutely share this ethos.”
